The United States said Saturday it was providing $3.6 million in humanitarian aid to Nepal following catastrophic flooding that killed hundreds and left close to 3,000 missing. The aid package includes up to three months of emergency food assistance for up to 10,000 affected households.

Relief shipments—containing thousands of tons of food, blankets, mosquito nets, and temporary shelter insulation — are being dispatched via organizations like Catholic Relief Services and Caritas Nepal.
