Urban Development: President inspects construction of Naypyitaw Gate

In an effort to implement Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory as a green, clean and smart city, the Naypyitaw Gate is under construction to elevate country’s dignity and prestige and to preserve Myanma historical culture and heritage.

On Thursday morning, President U Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Vice Presidents U Nyo Saw and Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye and officials, visited the gate construction site to oversee the work progress.

In the briefing hall, Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant breifed on the construction progress and the President instructed on paving of Bypass roads, building the gate in a grand and orderly manner with the blend of modern and Burmese style craftsmanship ensuring the earthquake resistance.

He also pointed out to construct public recreation areas, parking lots and underpasses. The President and party later toured around the gate construction site and instructed the needs on the reports by the officials.
