





The major renovation of the National Theater (Yangon) under the Fine Arts Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture has been completed with the aid of the People's Republic of China.
The handover ceremony of project for renovation of National Theatre (Yangon) was held on Tuesday.
At the ceremony, Union Minister for Culture U Ko Ko, Yangon Region Minsiter for Natural Resources U Zaw Win, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Chen Hai and Commercial Counsellor Mr. Tan Shu Fu formally opened the National Theater (Yangon).Later, the video clip on renovation of the national theater was shown and the Chinese Ambassador gave a congratulatory speech.
The Chinese Ambassador then handed over the documents realating to completed renovation of the National theatre (Yangon) and exchanged commemorative gifts. Later, Union Minsiter U Ko Ko said that the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day of Myanamr will be held in a grand manner soon.
He thanked the people of China on behalf of Myanmar as the handover ceremony of National Theater (Yangon) is a ceremony to honour the Diamond Jubilee Independence Day. After taking the photo session, the Union Minister and invited guests viewed around the renovatedNational Theatre. The renovation of National Theater (Yangon) cost 173 million Chinese Yuan.
As a new building, modern theater features have been fully installed there and the necessary trainings were provided for the staff of the National Theater.
