

The Union Government Meeting was held at the State Administration Council Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.
Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered a speech, emphasizing two key national objectives: the prosperity of the nation and food sufficiency. These goals encompass ensuring rule of law, security, improved transportation, peaceful education, and a pleasant lifestyle.
The Prime Minister underscored the importance of creating a better environment with greener landscapes, reflecting the characteristics of a developed city. To ensure food security, he highlighted the need to achieve target yields for paddy and oil crops in each region and state, while also boosting the production of other essential crops.
Additionally, he stressed efforts in livestock breeding and industrial development as vital for the nation’s economic progress. Infrastructure development projects are a priority for the State Administration Council Government throughout its tenure, despite damages caused by terrorist acts.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need to document these damages for historical records. Addressing security concerns, he pointed out the importance of nurturing a reading habit to provide knowledge for constructive outlooks, contributing to the state’s development and security.
The Prime Minister also instructed efforts to gain public trust in banking services through systematic supervision of entities. Regarding INGOs and NGOs, he called for scrutiny to ensure compliance with regulations.
Highlighting Myanmar’s practice of Independent, Active and Non-Aligned Foreign Policy and adherence to the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, he urged regions, states, and ministries involved in border areas and foreign relations to align with the state foreign policy.
In preparation for the upcoming election, the Prime Minister pointed out the Nationwide Population and Housing Census scheduled for October. He urged comprehensive census collection in all regions and states to ensure accurate voter lists.
Furthermore, he emphasized the need for educational initiatives to help higher education students and adults understand the State Constitution and Election Law. Regarding urban projects, the Prime Minister stressed the utilization of vacant and virgin lands in accordance with existing laws, necessitating field surveys by respective region and state Chief Ministers. Attendees provided updates on their respective sectors' work undertakings.
In conclusion, the Prime Minister highlighted the organization of two state-level events: the Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition and the National Sports Festival. These events should reflect the culture, national characteristics, and competitive quality of athletes.
With the Buddhist Lent approaching, he urged provisions for the peaceful retreat of Sayadaws and members of the Sangha. For the welfare of service personnel, plans are underway to provide food, clothing, and shelter for both retired and in-service personnel, with new staff appointments only at needed vacancies.
The Prime Minister called for cooperative efforts from all concerned personnel to promote the state's development.
