Union Government Meeting: SAC Chairman Discussed Administrative Matters

The Union Government Meeting (3/2022) was held at the Office of the State Administration Council Chairman on Thursday. SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the meeting and gave a speech, saying that efforts are being made to pave way to democracy as desire by the people by amending the administration, economic and political fields as necessary. He said there have been faced obstacles in 2021 due to the political situation and COVID-19 pandemic as well as the internal armed conflicts.

The challenges have been overcome by the collective efforts of the people and the different levels administrative bodies. He pointed out that the Ministry of Home Affairs, Tatmadaw and concerned organizations are making collaborative efforts for prevailing security and peace in the country.

The Prime Minister also reiterated the efforts for peace process, saying that invitation has been made to the ethnic armed organizations for holding dialogues for achieving peace.

He also stressed the needs to strive for development of the nation, socio-economic development of people and creating job opportunities. Concerning the the needs of electricity, he urged all to make strenuous efforts for reducing the use of fuel and sufficient supply of electricity during 2022-2023 fiscal year. For substituting the edible oil import, the Prime Minister stressed the need to engage in double cropping for the edible oil crops while providing the irrigation water and agricultural inputs.

He continued that the government is implementing for development of education sector through many reform processes, and all concerned ministries are urged to cooperate in this process. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of accurate data and statistics in order to support the successful implementation of the work process. The Union Ministers later reported on the work undertakings of respective sectors.

The Prime Minister concluding the meeting, calling for collective efforts of the ministries to achieve increased incomes so as to provide necessities for the civil servants and the country.
