UN Secretary-General congratulated Donald Trump

UN Secretary-General António Guterres on November 6th congratulated United States President-Elect Donald J. Trump and reaffirmed his “belief that the cooperation between the United States and the United Nations is an essential pillar of international relations.”

His spokesperson, , told journalists in New York that the Secretary-General “commended the people of the United States of America for their active participation in the democratic process,” and said the United Nations “stands ready to work constructively with the incoming administration to address the dramatic challenges their world is facing.”
