Hundreds of Ukrainians fleeing the conflict in Ukraine have found refuge in a train station inside of Poland. Many of them at the train station in Przemysl, Poland already have residency in Poland and work there, but many of those found sleeping on cots in the depot were back in Ukraine visiting family and friends when the Russian invasion started.
Andry Borysov, refugee from Kyiv said "When I left my home going for the railway station, first I heard a perhaps supersonic missile or shell flying over my head," It was an unmistakable loud sound of something just rushing by and then it was followed by a huge explosion somewhere downtown or on the outskirts of the city."
Many fled with what they could pack in a small suitcase or bag and hopped on the first train to Poland. They ended up in Przemysl which sits close to the Ukraine border, since it is a transit point for the rest of the country.
