UK, Australian leaders hail AUKUS defense cooperation

UK and Australian leaders continue to champion the AUKUS defense partnership, marking five years of trilateral cooperation focused on regional stability, advanced military capabilities, and technological integration. Progress remains on track for the rotational submarine force in Western Australia by 2027, alongside infrastructure investments at defense shipyards to build the future SSN-AUKUS fleet.

Plans also include expanding education and training pathways, highlighted by the creation of the first AUKUS Fellowship providing three-month rotations for students in nuclear science and related fields.
