UEC Notification No.(51/2025) : Designation of Amyotha Hluttaw constituencies

The Union Election Commission issued Notification No.(51/2025) on Friday regarding the designation of Amyotha Hluttaw constituencies.

Under Section 10(d) of the Union Election Commission Law and Section 4 of the Pyithu Hluttaw Election Law, the Commission has designated 110 constituencies for the Amyotha Hluttaw across the entire Union, including Self-Administered Zones and Division, using the Mixed-Member Proportional Representation (MMP) system.

According to the announcement, 84 constituencies will be held under the First-Past-The-Post (FPTP) system, and 26 constituencies will be held under the Proportional Representation (PR) system. It was signed by Than Soe, Chairman of the Union Election Commission.
