U-18 Women Football Tournament: States and Regions Competition in Nay Pyi Taw

To mark the 75th anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day, the State Administration Council Chairman’s Cup States and Regions U-18 Women Football Tournament is being held at Wunna Theikdhi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday.

The tournament was jointly organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and Myanmar Football Federation, aiming to promote Myanmar football standard and to turn out new generation.

Members of the State Administration Council Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Dr Banyar Aung Moe and wife, the Deputy Ministers, officials from the Sports and Physical Education Department and Myanmar Football Federation and football fans enjoyed the tournament.

Sagaing Region Team beat Mandalay Region Team 2-1 and Yangon Region Team beat Mon State with 4-2 at the Group Knock-out events. The Quarter Final events will continue on 12th December with Ayeyawady Region and Sagaing Region Teams at No-1Training Ground and Shan State and Magwe Region Teams at No.3 Training Ground.
