Turkiye's Erdogan meets with Serbian President Vucic during Balkan tour

Serbian President AleksandarVucic welcomed Turkish President RecepTayyip Erdogan during his visit to Belgrade, which is part of a short Balkan tour.

The tour aims to strengthen ties with the region as the five-century Ottoman presence in Serbia has traditionally weighed heavily on Belgrade-Ankara relations. Turkiye made a diplomatic comeback here in 2017 when Erdogan made a landmark visit to Belgrade.
