Turkiye marks 107th anniversary of Sivas Congress

Türkiye marks the 107th anniversary of the historic Sivas Congress on September 4, 2026.

Established by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founding father of the Republic, this weeklong assembly united national delegates to reject foreign mandate, affirm territorial integrity, and lay the foundational roadmap for the Republic of Türkiye. The event also features concerts, traditional folk dances and an athletic tournament with 1,058 participants in Cumhuriyet Square.
