Turkiye Continues to Heal Wounds in Somalia

Turkiye continued to support its partner nation Somalia by advancing healthcare services and medical training. In Mogadishu, the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Training and Research Hospital, operating since 2015, provided specialized treatment across multiple medical fields on a 63,000-square-meter campus with 250 beds.

The hospital delivered care including neonatal services and expanded dialysis capacity while also training Somali medical staff. Turkish doctors and specialists transferred clinical expertise to local healthcare workers across departments, including surgery, emergency care, and radiology.
