NATO said its Secretary General Mark Rutte has met US President-elect Donald Trump and discussed a range of global security issues facing the alliance.

Trump and Rutte reportedly met on Friday in Palm Beach, Florida, where Trump has his home. The meeting drew attention, as Trump has repeatedly complained that many NATO allies rely on the United States for defense, and declared that he will review the alliance. He is expected to demand that other members increase spending.
