The inauguration ceremony for US President-elect Donald Trump has been shifted indoors due to weather conditions that are expected to be bitterly cold. The temperature on Monday is expected to be minus 6 degrees Celsius. The Capitol Rotunda in Washington will host the ceremony, including Trump's inaugural address.

A parade will take place at nearby Capital One Arena, which will livestream the occasion. Trump will later join the crowd there. The last president to take the oath of office indoors because of bad weather was Ronald Reagan in 1985. Trump's inauguration is expected to be the coldest one since then.
