






Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin addressed the graduation ceremony of the on-the-job training batch [5] on tropical greenery conducted by the Department of Tropical Greenery. In his address, the Chief Minister said that forest cultivation and conservation activities play an important role in improving the environment and ensuring a fair and just climate.
According to the guidance of the head of state, the project of establishing a model 100-acre Neem tree plantation in Yenanchaung Township is being carried out. Also, 500,000 Neem trees will be planted in Magway District, the Chief Minister added.
The graduation ceremony continued with explanation on objectives of opening the training and presenting awards to outstanding trainees and certificates of completion to all trainees. This on-the-job training batch [5] on tropical greenery from the 16th to the 28th of January was joined by 37 trainees.
It’s learnt that the Department of Tropical Greenery established in 1997 has been working on the establishment of plantations to make the tropical region green.
