A Trip to Viet Nam: Myanmar delegation attended 80th Traditional Day

A Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Home Affairs, Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, visited Viet Nam from August 15 to 18 at the invitation of Gen. Luong Tam Quang , Minister of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, to attend the ceremony marking the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Viet Nam People’s Public Security, held in Hanoi on August 17.

During the trip, on the morning of August 16, the delegation visited the Ho Chi Minh Museum. In the afternoon, they held meetings with Mr. To Lam , General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, and with Gen. Luong Tam Quang , Minister of Public Security of Viet Nam.

They discussed bilateral and regional matters relating to security and the rule of law. In the evening, they attended a state dinner hosted in their honor by Gen. Luong Tam Quang.

On the morning of August 17, the Myanmar delegation attended the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Viet Nam People’s Public Security held at the Viet Nam National Convention Center, and in the afternoon they visited the Viet Nam Military History Museum.

On August 18, the delegation led by the Union Minister visited the Viet Nam People’s Police Academy. Throughout the visit, the Myanmar delegation discussed cooperation between the two ministries in various areas. The delegation returned to Yangon by air on the evening of August 18.
