Tree Planting Ceremony: Efforts for green and sustainable environment

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win attended the 2nd Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony of the year at Kyaikpun Pagoda compound in Bago on Friday.

The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of planting trees for the future, stressing that monsoon season is the best time for tree planting and called on all to protect each tree as part of a green and sustainable environment.

The Chief Minister and wife later distributed saplings for planting. A total of 1,500 trees were planted during the event. It is reported that over 1.4 million trees are planned to be planted in Bago Region during this monsoon season, starting from May.
