Transportation sector: MoTC Union Minister inspected railroad construction

The Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San inspected the construction site of PinPet and Naung Kar railway line in Taunggyi Township and Naung Kar-Taunggyi railway line section on September 6.

The union minister accompanied by the officials and managing director of Myama Railway left Nay Pyi Taw in the morning for Kalaw Railway Station.

At the Kalaw Railway Station, the union minister instructed to maintain the traditional attraction of Kalaw station to the local and international visitors, clean, neat and tidy of the station building and the yard compound, renovation of station maintaining original form and shape, inspected exhibition of courage attached to the old steam locomotive.

And the cooperation with the relevant departments to promote the tourism industry was instructed. The union minister arrived at Myanma Railway station of Taunggyi.

Next, the union minister together with the Shan State Chief Minister and Road Transportation minister arrived at Pin Pet Steel Mill and inspected the site to be constructed railways line to link to the steel Mill and the site of Pin Pet Station and instructed to construct meeting the qualities and standards and to complete within the timeframe.

Then, the union minister and party inspected project sites along the core of Pin Pet-Naung Kar rail line with motorcade.

The union minister also inspected the fitness of railroad section, neat and tidiness of the railways stations and the level crossing by special train.

In the evening, the union minister met with the officials and staff from Taunggyi station and gave necessary instructions.
