

At Kyainglap (Kenglap) of Tachileik District in Shan State, the Myanmar-Laos Friendship Bridge has reopened.
A Myanmar delegation led by township administrator U Aung Myo Htwe met with the delegation led by deputy township administrator from Tak District of Laos on the Myanmar-Laos Friendship Bridge to ceremonially open the Bridge.
At the Myanmar side check point, a delegation consisting of members of the general administration department, health, labor and immigration, trade and police force sector under the supervision of Tachileik Township administrator U Tin Oo Kyaw and a delegation with 7 representatives from Laos discussed detailed rules and regulations which are to be followed by both parties.
According to the discussions, drivers need to be fully vaccinated in transporting goods; they need to get COVID-19 test once every 14 days; only 2 drivers are allowed and they need to stay in designated area. Myanmar-Laos Friendship Bridge is open every day from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
