




23th Myanmar Traditional Performing Art Competition will be held in Nay Pyi Taw from 11th to 18th October. The judge members had left from Yangon for Nay Pyi Taw Friday.
The competitions are held aiming for continuous preserving of Myanmar traditional culture, arts and music and to turn out new generations who love and preserve those arts.
Si Thu Htar, Judge said "Serving as a judge for this competition is my work and I had been carrying out as a judge since the 1st Myanmar Traditional Performing Art Competition. I am satisfied with the fact that my hobby and career are the same. I don’t want to disappear of our traditional cultures. "
Lwin Myint, Judge said "Myanmar Traditional Performing Art Competition has been suspended for some time under the circumstances. I want to say thanks to the responsible persons on behalf of all musicians. The musicians and judges as the first group, and the contestants as the second group will depart for Nay Pyi Taw respectively."
The judge members arrived at the Ywar Taw No.1 interrogation and accommodation camp in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon of Friday. Then the officials conducted COVID-19 test to the judge members according to the COVID-19 health rules and regulations, it’s learnt.
