Tourists brave Beijing's icy winds to visit snow-covered Great Wall

Domestic and international tourists endured biting winds and cold conditions to visit a section of the Great Wall in Badaling on the outskirts of Beijing.

Temperatures have plunged in China's capital over the past few days, leading to power outages, icy roads and the closure of some expressways and airports.The temperatures in most parts of the country are forecast to drop by 8 to 12 degrees Celsius from Thursday to Sunday, with some regions set to experience a sharp decline of over 20 degrees Celsius, according to the National Meteorological Center.
