Tourism Sector: Matters on Russian tourists to visit Myanmar discussed

Union Minister for Hotel and Tourism Dr. Htay Aung received Mr. Kosinkov Evgeny Commercial Director of Yi Ling Tourism Co., Ltd based in Russian Federation at the Ministry, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on December 2nd.

At the meeting, Mr.Kosinkov Evgeny discussed to ease from double travel insurance in Myanmar as the Russian citizens tour with global travel insurance, the consultation is underway to operate Myanmar Airways International for the Russian tourists, if the convenience of financial remittance and spending can be provided, more travelers can be invited.

The Union Minister discussed as for the flight, it can be done like the Italian flight from Milan transited in Myanmar and flied to Phuket, it’s learnt that Myanmar Airways International is making arrangements of flight destinations, regarding with the travel insurance, the coordination with the relevant departments will be conducted, the financial convenience will be provided when the arrival of tourists, as the bilateral relation between Myanmar and Russian is boosting and the cooperation in the tourism sector is being implemented and the requirements will be coordinated.
