Tourism in Myeik Archipelago : Visitors attracted to visit upcoming travel season

Myeik Archipelago, a group of islands located in the Southern region of Myanmar, in Thaninthayi Region and comprises more than 800 islands.

Due to travelling season has been setting in, during this year opening season, the visitors not only from local but also from abroad interested in visiting around the Myeik Archipelago and there is also increase of contacts for information for the destination. 

Since the Thadingyut period, the local visitors started visiting to the natural islands in Myeik Archipelago.

The visitors are interested in the islands where located in Kyunsu Township of Kawthaung District and in this year, there will be price changes subject to the trip, it’s learnt.

Currently, there are many visitors to the islands in Kawthaung District.

The islands in Kawthaung District including Smart Island, Beyli Island and Kyal Lake Island are attracting most of the tourists.  

There are about 42 companies given tourism services to the visitors, but currently, just about 10 companies are actually operating the services.

The Smart Island with the Done Waterfall is the most famous among the others in Myeik Archipelago, so, the visitors not only from local but also from abroad mostly visit there, it’s learnt.
