Tourism industry: Sagaing Region Tourism Work Committee held meeting

The Chairman of Sagaing Region Tourism Work Committee, Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw attended the committee’s 10/2022 meeting held at the meeting hall of the region government in the morning on 30th November.

At the meeting, the Chief Minister urged the attendees to discuss openly to understand the current situations of the region’s tourism industry and to be able to fulfill the requirements. It’s needed to develop more QR Codes for the tourists’ destinations in the region to update information for the public and the distribution of Pamphlets.

Next, the vice chair of the region tourism industry work committee region minister for economic affairs Daw Yi Yi Than gave a remark regarding with the tourism industry of the region and the committee secretary U Myint Sein clarified to give permit the new license of Clssico Hotel in Monywa, ORION Travel Company, license extension of Sein Hotel in Katha Township and Gandawin Guest House, tourists arrivals during October and the status of implementing regarding with the hotel and tourism with power point.

Then, the meeting attendees discussed and gave suggestions on the matters of regional tourism industry, status of tourists arrival, implementations for the cleaning and greening of the vicinity of tourist destinations, transportation and security matters.

In responding to the discussions and suggestions, the Chairman of Region Tourism Work Committee, Chief Minister coordinated necessaries and gave a speech of conclusion.
In Sagaing Region, during January to October of 2022, a total of 92313 local travelers and 1180 oversea travelers arrived, it’s reported.
