Tourism Industry : Meeting with hotel and tourism sector in Yangon

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism and Sports and Youth Affairs, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, along with Deputy Minister U Phyo Zaw Soe, visited hotels in Yangon on Friday to inspect service quality, cleanliness, facilities, and staff performance.

They urged hotel staff to maintain hygiene, provide quality services, and follow regulations. The Union Minister also met with ministry staff and representatives from the Myanmar Tourism Federation, its affiliated associations, and hotel managers.

He encouraged collaboration between the public and private sectors to develop sustainable tourism. Discussions covered challenges faced by the industry, market promotion, committee operations, and staff capacity building. He highlighted the importance of skilled human resources and quality services to grow the tourism sector, calling for unified efforts for balanced and long-term tourism development in Myanmar.
