Tourism Industry: Launching ceremony of Travel Safe Application

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Htay Aung attended the launching ceremony of the Travel Safe Application for Health and Security Screening for Travellers developed by Golden TMH Telecom Company.

In his address at the ceremony in Nay Pyi Taw, the Union Minister said the international flights were allowed to resume on 17 April and the business visa applications on 20 May.

The safety and health issues of travellers are crucial. Systematic preventive measures are also needed to carry out despite the declining COVID-19 infection rate.

The Ministry of Health provides the necessary health checks at Yangon and Mandalay international airports.

The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is also carrying out the Health and Safety Protocol (HSP) for seven tourism-related fields.

The HSP can achieve the trust of international tourists and the service providers can serve with confidence, the Union Minister added.

Also, the Golden TMH Telecom Company chairperson explained the aims of developing the Travel Safe Application. Another official briefed the Travel Safe Application. The Union Minister also gave necessary instructions and concluded the event.
