







Deputy Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Phyo Zaw Soe visited the Nam Pan Creek (Embankment) area in MongPan Township of Southern Shan State. There, the Deputy Minister inspected the progress of implementing various tourism models, including leisure tourism and agro-tourism.
He instructed officials to make prior preparations regarding the protection and conservation measures for potential natural disasters. Continuing his tour, the Deputy Minister inspected the current state of local destinations and the efforts to identify new tourist attractions within MongPan Township. He then visited the regional departments actively involved in tourism and development activities.
The Deputy Minister also met with the civil servants on duty to offer words of encouragement and urged all concerned departmental officials, associations, and business operators to collaborate and cooperate in the implementation of community-based tourism initiatives in the region.
Subsequently, the Deputy Minister visited the Bodh Gaya Kone Ping Monastery to explore the potential for developing pilgrimage tourism. Following his inspection, the Deputy Minister offered donations of provisions and cash to the venerable Sayadaw and members of the Sangha.
