Tour in Sittwe: NDSC Executive Chief visits Rakhine State

Executive Chief of National Defence and Security Council U Aung Lin Dwe visited Rakhine State on Sunday. At the State Government Office in Sittwe, the Executive Chief met with the government members and departmental personnel to discuss the regional development matters.

He stressed on the efforts for trade flow and prize stability, assistance for the departmental personnel, retired personnel and displaced persons as well as implementation of agriculture and livestock works, solar powered electricity generation, regional development works, quick win projects, progress of education, health and sports sector, successful holding of the election and preparations for 200th anniversary of establishing Sittwe.

The Union Ministers later explained the efforts for development of Rakhine State and future cooperation plans. The Executive Chief emphasized that implementation of development works in Rakhine State has been delayed due to instability in the region, triggered by the armed terrorists. He called for cooperation of all concerned persons for achieving stability and development in the state.

After the meeting, the Executive Chief visited Sittwe Multi-Purpose Jetty to oversee the arrival of basic foodstuff, utensils and construction materials which have been transported under the arrangement of Yangon Region and Rakhine State Governments.

They then proceeded to Wingaba Ground and enjoyed the music concert to mark the 51st anniversary Rakhine State Day. They then paid homage to Atula Merazein Pyay Lone Chantha Pagoda and made donation of all-round renovation of the pagoda.
