Tour in Sittwe : Chief Minister inspects development projects in Sittwe

Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, along with officials, inspected the development activities and reconstruction work at Khaung Doke Khar (2) IDP camp in Sittwe Township on Saturday.

They visited a chosen site for a new city entrance gate along the Yangon–Sittwe highway. Officials presented the design and layout plans, and the Chief Minister instructed to ensure a modern, durable design with proper engineering input. Later, the Chief Minister inspected the reconstruction progress at Khaung Doke Khar (2) IDP camp, where 40 houses and 24 water tanks have been built. Solar-powered lights have also been installed for security. 

The Chief Minister also urged to proceed with organized resettlement efforts through collaboration between the administrative bodies and camp in-charge officials. The Chief Minister later visited Darpine Village High School, where he encouraged students to focus on their studies and praised the work of teachers. Foodstuff were also distributed to the teachers.
