Tour in Myitkyina: Visiting hospital, tour in town and meeting education staff

Vice Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win visited the local defence services hospital in Myitkyina of Kachin State on Wednesday.

The Vice Senior General comforted the patients who are receiving treatment at the hospital and provided foodstuff and cash rewards. They also toured round the hospital and provided the needs. The Vice Senior General and party later took a tour along Myitkyina detour road by a motorcade.

They then inspected the staff housings of the local battalions and units and coordinated the needs.  At the Northern Command Guest House, the Vice Senior General met with the Township Education Officers and Principals. Officials reported on the efforts for education promotion and achieving high passing rate in the upcoming matriculation exams.

The Vice Senior General stressed the need to strive for development of education sector, nurturing more educated youths in the state. He added that the government is paying special attention for education promotion efforts for the better future of the nation. He called for cooperation among the concerned personnel for the success of the tasks.
