Tour in Minsk : Myanmar delegation visits Belarus

National Security Advisor Union Minister at the President's Office U Tin Aung San led the Myanmar delegation to Belarus at the invitation of Secretary of the State Security Council of the Republic of Belarus Mr. Aleksandr Volfovich.

On September 15, the delegation visited the Great Patriotic War Museum in Minsk where officials explained on the salient points. On September 16, the delegation visited the Victory Monument where the Union Minister laid wreath along with the playing of national anthems of the two countries by the Guard of Honour.

Later in the day, the Union Minister held talks with Chairman of the State Security Council of Belarus Mr Ivan Tertel and discussed matters on cooperation in security matters, information exchange, sharing experience, collaboration for cybersecurity and training activities.

Then, the delegation visited the Ministry of Internal Affairs where Minister Ivan Kubrakov welcomed them and explained the training process of anti-terrorist task force. They also held discussion on security measures, combating terrorist acts, sharing information and training matters.

The Union Minister also met with Secretary of the State Security Council of the Republic of Belarus Mr. Aleksandr Volfovich and discussed matters on bilateral relations, cooperation in defence and security matters, combating drug trafficking and online scams, Eurasian Charter, trade and investments, education, health and tourism, and cooperation in international arena.

On September 17, the delegation visited the Military Academy of Belarus, where officials briefed them on military training programs, academic courses and the admission of local and foreign trainees.

The delegation also visited the State Forensic Examination Center and discussed crime investigation, forensic science, evidence examination, training and cooperation. On September 18, the delegation met officials from Belarus’ Ministry of Emergency Situations to discuss rescue operations, industrial and chemical safety, disaster recovery and cooperation.

They also visited the ministry’s Safety Education Center. The delegation left Minsk on the evening of September 18 and arrived back in Yangon on the evening of September 19.
