Tour around Magwe Region: PM visits pagodas and discusses regional development

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife visited Mann ShweSettaw Pagoda in Minbu (Saku) Township in Magwe Region on Sunday.

The Prime Minister and wife paid homage to the Mann ShweSettaw Pagoda, Pada Ceti and Lower Footprint, and donated flowers, water and gold foils. They also made cash donation for the pagoda. The Prime Minister urged officials to make arrangements for better transportation access for the pilgrims, to construct a retaining wall, and to carry out beautifying tasks and long-term maintenance of the religious edifices.

The Prime Minister and wife and party later visited the Upper Footprint, and donated flowers, water and gold foils to the Golden Ceti. They also made cash donation for all-round renovation of the pagoda. The Prime Minister later viewed round the Mann ShweSetttaw Pagoda and gave instructions on long term maintenance of the pagoda. The Prime Minister and party later visited SakkyarPantaung Ceti in ThetTharPantaung Village of PwintPhyu Township, and made cash donation. On arrival at LaeKai Village, the Prime Minister and party inspected renovation of ShwePyayAye Pagoda and the Prayer Hall.

They also met with the local community and discussed for economic and regional development matters. The Prime Minister presented 5 million kyats funds for village development. They later proceeded to ShinPinSekkeinTe Pagoda and donated cash for renovation of the pagoda. The Prime Minister later met with the community elders from Minbu and Saku and discussed matters on regional development, boosting production of the products based on agriculture and livestock, sufficient supply of irrigated water, implementation of solar powered river water pumping project and establishment of Livestock and Veterinary Institute.

The Prime Minister also provided 10 million kyats each for regional development fund and construction of Minbu Home for the Aged. In the evening, the Prime Minister and wife and party, visited Myathalun Pagoda and Magwe and offered flowers and water. They also made cash donation for all-round renovation works of the pagoda. The Prime Minister and party later arrived at the Strand Road and inspected the implementation of Public Area along the road for recreation.
