Toronto hosts India-Canada finance meeting

In Canada, the International Financial Services Centres Authority on Saturday held a high-level conference between India and Canada in Toronto city. The conference brought together top Canadian institutions across banking, capital markets and insurance exploring cross-border opportunities and India’s rapidly evolving financial ecosystem.

As the event’s main focus, Gujarat’s GIFT City was positioned as a preferred hub for global capital flows, offering an internationally aligned regulatory framework and competitive tax environment. For the Indian-Canadian business community, the event signaled growing collaboration between the two economies particularly in areas like capital markets, fintech, and institutional investment.
