Tonga quake triggers waves, floods on Peru coast

Meanwhile, Coastal areas of Peru were struck by high waves and flooding on Saturday, triggered by the volcanic eruption in Tonga. 

Peruvian authorities said two women drowned after being dragged away by "anomalous waves" on a beach in the northern Lambayeque region on the Pacific coast. Elsewhere, seawater flooded beachside restaurants in the tourist resort of Pisco. Police were filmed urging residents and tourists to stay away from the beach.
