Tipitakadhara Examination: Union Minister Offered Soon to The Sangha

The ceremony of offering Soon (day meal) to the Tipitakadhara-Tipitakakovida Ovadacariya Sayadawgyis, questions issuing Sayadawgyis, monitoring Sayadawgyis and Sangha who are sitting for the 73rd Tipitakadhara-Tipitakakovida selection examination by the chairman of state administration council, commander in chief of defense services senior general Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and family was held at the three-storey dinning hall in Thirimingalar Kabaraye hill, Yangon on Tuesday.

At the ceremony, union minister for religious affairs and culture U Ko Ko, commander of Yangon command major general Nyut Win Swe and wife, deputy minister U Tun Ohn and officials attended, listended the sermon from the vice chairman Sayadawgyi of Tipitakadhara-Tipitakakovida Ovadacariya board and shared the merits gained.

In the morning, commander of Yangon command major general Nyut Win Swe and wife offered morning meal donated by the chairman of state administration council, commander in chief of defense services senior general Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and family to the Sangha.

In the afternoon, the union minister paid homage to the Sangha who are sitting for the 73rd Tipitakadhara-Tipitakakovida selection examination in the Mahapathana cave at Thirimingalar Kabaraye hill, Yangon.

The 73rd Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida  Selection Examination with the participation of a total of 171 monks will go on from 17th to 21st of May. Next, the union minister inspected national museum (Yangon), Pyay Road, Yangon and the museum in-charge took the minister around the museum and union minister supplemented necessaries.

Then, the union minister met with the staffs of national museum and gave necessary instructions, it’s learnt.
