



India is holding a massive retest of its highly competitive NEET medical entrance exam under unprecedented security measures, aiming to restore public trust following a devastating question paper leak scandal.
Officials on Sunday deployed AI-enabled camera surveillance, biometric authentication, and GPS tracking of question papers. In a move to prevent cheating, the Indian government temporarily blocked the Telegram messaging app, which was allegedly used to distribute the leaked papers. It was known that over 2.2 million students are competing for coveted undergraduate medical seats across the country.
