Thousands of school students walked out of their classrooms onto Sydney streets for climate change march on Friday. Protesters marched into the Domain, in Sydney's central business district, carrying handmade signs and chanting for climate policy change. They are also demanding world leaders gathering for a UN Climate Action Summit to adopt urgent measures to stop an environmental catastrophe. Similar protests, inspired by the 16-year-old Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, are planned in some 150 countries on Friday. The aim is for students and others from around the world to speak in one voice about the impending effects of climate change on the planet. The strike will end in New York when Thunberg will lead a march at the home of the United Nations headquarters.
