Thingyan Celebration in Bago: Chief Minister attends the opening of Central Pandal

Bago Region Government opened the Central Pandal of the Maha Thingyan Festival on Thursday. Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win extended greetings at the ceremony. After formal opening of the ceremony, the Chief Minister and party enjoyed the performance of Thingyan Yein Troupes.

They also sprinkled scented water to the members of dance troupes. The Chief Minister and party later toured round the charity feast stalls and water pandals along the Walking Thingyan Thingyan area.

21 Yein Dance Troupes from Wards and Villages and departments will perform at the Central Pandal throughout the Thingyan period. Moreover, charity feasts will also be served to the revellers at the Walking Thingyan area.
