The raw materials are imported from abroad and the corn seeds are being produced here in our Thilawa SEZ. "

There are pharmaceutical factories that can distribute fresh medicines to the market in timely manner in the Thilawa SEZ and the price is more affordable than the imported medicines.

Yan NaingTun, Chairman, Thilawa Special Economic Zone said "There are free and promotion zones in Thilawa SEZ. The promotion zone is a place where raw materials are imported and sold locally and abroad where there is foreign market. The compound fertilizers and medicines are being produced as the import substitute. The free zone is where the foreign investment companies buy seasonal products and goods and import them to the foreign market. These procedures are started from April 2022 and it is a kind of business that benefits directly to the farmers. These are the good result in investment for Thilawa SEZ."

The Thilawa Special Economic Zone is the biggest commercial city of Myanmar, aiming to create jobs, promote living standards and the export of goods, provide vocational training opportunities and to support services meeting the international standard.
