Thaing competition: SAC Chairman’s Cup Thaing competition opened

In commemorating 2023 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day, The opening ceremony of State Administration Council Chairman’s Cup Regions and States (Open/Invitation) Myanmar Traditional Martial Art of Thaing competition was held at Wunna Theiddi stadium (B) in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 30th December with the attendance of the SAC Members Daw Aye Nu Sein, Jeng Phang NawTaung and U ShweKyein, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan, deputy ministers and officials.

In his opening remark of the deputy minister U Myo Hlaing on behalf of the Union Minister, he said Myanmar traditional martial art of Thaing is needed to preserve as it’s important for the safeguarding of the country as well as Myanmar traditional heritage of martial.

The masters of Thaing martial art from all over the country and responsible persons from Myanmar Thaing Federation should organize the young people to be interested in practicing traditional martial art of Thaing and impart to the youths etc.

Then, the SAC Chairman’s Cup Regions and States (Open/Invitation) Myanmar Traditional Martial Art of Thaing competition was opened.After singing the national anthem and taking the four oaths of sportsmanship by the athletes, the SAC members and officials cordially greeted the athletes and enjoyed the Thaing competition events as the first day.

SAC Chairman’s Cup Regions and States (Open/Invitation) Men/Women Myanmar Traditional Martial Art of Thaing competition in commemorating 2023 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day will take place at Wunna Theiddi stadium (B) from 30th December to 1st January, 2023. A total of 14 teams from the regions and states will participate in the competition, it’s learnt.
