






Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, accompanied by Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, attended the test run ceremony for the newly installed Air Compressors at the Air Purification Workshop of No. 2 Steel Mill (Pinpet) in Taunggyi Township, Shan State on the afternoon of July 26.
According to the program, the Union Minister initiated the test run of Air Compressor No. 1 from the control room by pressing a button. He then toured the area to observe the compressor's operation.
Following this, the test run of Air Compressor No. 2 was also conducted. The second part of the program continued at the factory's collective dining hall, where the Union Minister delivered an opening address. He stated that the successful test run of the Air Compressors, which are a crucial component of the Air Purification Workshop at No. 2 Steel Mill (Pinpet), was the result of collaborative efforts. These efforts involved a specialist from TPE Co., Ltd. and nine specialists from AGS Co., Ltd. who, starting from May 12, 2025, inspected and installed the machinery in cooperation with the factory's skilled engineers.
Following the Minister's speech, Mr. Senin (Chief Engineer from TPE Co., Ltd.), Mr. Konev (Director General from AGS Co., Ltd.), and Mr. Vladislav (Representative from Rostec) each presented on the work accomplished for the successful operation of the Air Purification Workshop and future cooperation plans.
The Union Minister then presented honorary fruit baskets to Mr. Senin, Chief Engineer of TPE Co., Ltd., and Mr. Konev, Director General of AGS Co., Ltd., for their efforts in implementing the No. 2 Steel Mill (Pinpet) project. The Chief Minister of the Shan State received a commemorative gift for the successful test run of the Air Compressors.
Additionally, the Deputy Minister and the Magaging Director of No. 1 Heavy Industry presented certificates of honor to the project implementation team leader and members of the No. 2 Steel Mill (Pinpet) project, as well as to engineers, scientists, officers, and staff from the industrial headquarters and the factory.
Subsequently, the Union Minister presented a 5 million kyats cash award to the staff of No. 2 Steel Mill (Pinpet), which was received by the factory manager. The Union Minister then delivered his closing remarks, concluding the Air Compressor test run ceremony.
