
Unseasonably warm weather is expected to continue in many parts of Japan on Tuesday. Officials said there are risks of flooding in low-lying areas due to snowmelt and avalanches.
The Meteorological Agency said temperatures rose across the country on Monday as warm air flowed in from the south.
Temperatures are expected to rise even more in some places on Tuesday, mainly on the Pacific side of western and eastern Japan.
The daytime high is forecast to reach 24 degrees in Shizuoka City and 22 degrees in central Tokyo.
