Team Canada Trade Mission Launched

Launching ceremony of the Team Canada Trade Mission took place in Kuala Lumpur on Monday attended by the Malaysian Minister for Investment, Trade and Industry and Canadian Minister for Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development.

The Team Canada Trade Mission delegation comprises over 140 organizations with more than 250 individuals across sectors comprising primarily small and medium enterprises. During the ceremony, they discussed investment and trade ties between the two countries.

Malaysia and Canada have shared diplomatic ties for nearly 66 years, and via the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for the Trans-Pacific Partnership, bilateral trade rose by 25%. Likewise, Business-to-business meetings were organized during the visit.
