Tazaungdaing Festival : Three-day festivities scheduled at Maravijaya Buddha Park

The Tazaungdaing Festival of Maravijaya Buddha Image in Nay Pyi Taw Dekkhinathiri Township, will be held grandly from November 2 to 4 with various religious and entertainment programs.

The festival will feature light offering ceremonies, hot-air balloon competitions and non-stale robe weaving contests, as well as various entertainment programs and market festival at the Buddha Image precinct. There will also be recitation of religious verses, 9,000 oil lamps offerings, LED light decorations, and award presentations for competition winners.

Over 300 stalls will offer MSME products, traditional foods, and local goods and visitors can also enjoy various amusement rides. In addition, famous Myanmar singers will perform nightly with Hi Bird and Runner Music Bands while popular actor Phoe Chit and his drama troupe will also perform stage plays each evening. The festival is expected to be celebrated joyfully and colorfully throughout the three-day period.
