Tanzania officially opens Embassy in Indonesia

Indonesia and Tanzania relationship have strengthened with the opening of Tanzania’s embassy in Indonesia.  Indonesia Foreign Affairs Minister RetnoMarsudi said in a remark welcoming Tanzania’s Foreign Minister, Stergomena Tax in Jakarta.

RetnoMarsudi, Indonesian Foreign Minister said "The decision of Tanzania to open embassy in Jakarta is a clear reflection of commitment to further strengthen our relation and today, the embassy of Tanzania in Jakarta will be officially integrated. I will also attend the integration myself and it the opening of your embassy will also strengthening the bond between Indonesia and the African countries."

Indonesia and Tanzania bilateral relationships has been established since Tanzania’s Independence Day. Tanzania is Indonesia’s second biggest trade partner in East Africa. Minister Retno also said President Joko Widodo plan to visit Tanzania this year.
