A 31-inch curved steel-bladed sword given to Royal Navy Captain James Kearney White (1782-1828) by Napoleon Bonaparte will go on sale at auction with an estimated value between 30,000 to 50,000 pounds. The Head of Charles Miller auction house, said that despite the sword being an average standard piece, its link to the former French emperor makes it unique. The auction sale will take place in London on November 12.
