Swedish Crown Princess Victoria completes 'basic military training'

The Swedish Royal Household has shared moments from Princess Victoria’s intense military training earlier this year. Sweden's future Queen took part in basic military training at the Stockholm Amphibious Regiment in "the spring", the household said in a post on social media on Tuesday. She took part in the outdoor intensive before starting "Crown Princess's officer training (SOFU), which she is now studying at the National Defence Academy".

The images show the heir firing automatic rifles, using mortar artillery, moving across difficult terrains such as rivers, and walking on ropes. Alongside a video of her training course, the royal family’s official posted, “During the basic course, the Crown Princess had to deepen herself in personal soldier skills and practical combat situations”.
