Supporting Sports Competitions: YGN Region CM supported Sports Competitions

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and regional ministers attended the finals and awards ceremonies for the National Esports Championship and the SKYNET 2025 Sepak Takraw Competition.

First, the Chief Minister and his delegation arrived at the National Indoor Stadium 1 in Thuwunna, Yangon, for the National Esports Championship finals and awards ceremony. The event, organized by the Myanmar Electronic Sports Federation under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, aimed to select the national team for the Esports category at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 2025).

The ceremony began with a grand opening performance that combined traditional Burmese puppet art and the song "FACE ON." The Chief Minister watched the Mobile Legends grand finale between Falcon Esports and AI Esports, which Falcon Esports won.

Next, the Chief Minister and his group attended the SKYNET 2025 Sepak Takraw Competition finals and awards ceremony, organized by the Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation and presented by Shwe Than Lwin Media. The event was held at the HEXAGON COMPLEX in Yangon.

The ceremony began with an introduction of the chief referee, referees, team managers, coaches, and athletes. The Chief Minister then watched the final match between Late Thone Kaung and Sel Tel Bo, with Sel Tel Bo emerging as the winner.

The awards ceremony followed, where officials presented individual medals, cash prizes, and trophies to the winning teams of USL Team for 2nd Place and Apple Team for 1st Place in Women's Four-a-side event, Paing Soe Team for 2nd Place and Late Thone Kaung Team for 1st Place in Men's Three-a-side event, Late Thone Kaung Team for 2nd place and Sel Tel Bo Team for 1st place in Men's Four-a-side event.

Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation President U Ye Win Htut Tin presented a certificate of appreciation to Sr. Chairwoman Daw Nan Mauk Lauk Sai of Shwe Than Lwin Media Company.
