Support for Students: MOE Union Minister visits exam centers in Yangon

Accompanied by Yangon Region Chief Minister and concerned officials, Union Minister for Education Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein on Friday, visited No.1 Basic Education High School in Hmawbi Township to encourage the students who were sitting Mathematic subject for 2026 Academic Year matriculation examination.

The Union Minister and party then visited exam center opened at the Industrial, Agricultural and Livestock Breeding High School in Taikkyi Township and Basic Education High School (Hlegu)  to witness the students peacefully sitting their exam in accordance with exam rules and procedures. There, the Union Minister also met with the parents and students and made encouragement.

In 2026 Academic Year Matriculation Exam, there are 49,256 registered students and on the third day of the exam, 46,766 students sat for their Mathematic subject at 107 exam centers in Yangon, while 402 students from Industrial, Agricultural and Livestock Breeding High School sat for their exam at 4 exam centers.
